On Sunday we had no food in the house, so I decided to whip up some bread to go with our can of soup for lunch. Focaccia seemed to fit with the remnants of my store cupboard, and I used this recipe from Lorraine Pascale on the BBC. It didn’t really rise, whilst proving or baking, but tasted OK! The bake-off focaccia recipe here has higher proportions of yeast than my mix, and I am therefore going to blame the recipe rather than my terrible kneading!

Quite flat but looking good!

I was really pleased to use my home-grown freecycle cutting rosemary plant too to add the decorative (and tasty) garnish!
